This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this website — what we collect, why, who else is involved, and how long we keep it. It describes what this website actually does, not a generic list.
Who is responsible
HJA Heating Ltd of 19 Swale Close, Stone Cross, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN24 5QY decides how information from this website is used, and is the data controller.
Silver Spider Media Ltd builds and runs this website for HJA Heating Ltd and operates the systems that deliver and manage your enquiry. They act on HJA Heating Ltd's instructions as a processor.
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, telephone number and email address, and gives you space for a subject, how you heard about us, and your message. We use what you send to reply to you, quote for the work, arrange a visit, and keep a record of the job.
What happens to it:
- The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the submission is from a person rather than a bot.
- Your enquiry is emailed to HJA Heating Ltd through Resend, an email delivery service.
- A copy is recorded in the Silver Spider Media Command Centre so the enquiry can be tracked and answered. Your name, email address, telephone number and message are encrypted before they are stored, and access is logged.
Sending an enquiry is not the same as agreeing to analytics. Your enquiry is handled the same way whether you accept or decline optional cookies.
Analytics, and only if you agree
If you accept optional cookies we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are visited, which services are looked at, and whether people tap the phone number or email address. This is measured as a tap on a link, not as a phone call or an email that was actually sent.
Until you accept, none of that runs: Google Analytics is not loaded, no analytics cookies are set, and no identifier is created on your device. If you decline, it stays off. Full detail is in the cookie and tracking information.
Embedded content from other companies
- Google Maps — the maps on this site are provided by Google. We do not load them until you accept optional cookies, because loading one connects your device to Google. The address is always shown either way, and you can open the location directly in Google Maps if you prefer.
- Online quote tool — the quote calculator on our online quote page is provided by instaquotes.co.uk and runs inside that page. Anything you enter into it is submitted to that provider so a quote can be produced.
- WhatsApp— the "Chat with us" button is an ordinary link. Nothing is loaded from WhatsApp or Meta unless you tap it, at which point WhatsApp's own terms and privacy notice apply to the conversation.
Where the website runs
This website is hosted on Vercel. Its systems keep standard server records, such as the request and the browser used, in order to serve pages and protect the site.
How long we keep things
- Enquiries and the records attached to them: 24 months from our last contact with you about it.
- Analytics information, if you agreed to it: 14 months, after which it is deleted.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice whenever you like. When you withdraw it we stop optional analytics, remove the identifier from your device, and clear the Google Analytics cookies this site set.
Your rights
